Anne A. E. Thorup

​Forskningslektor, ph.d., speciallæge i børne- og ungdomspsykiatri i Forskningsenheden ved Børne- og Ungdomspsykiatrisk Center.  Lektor ved Det Sundhedsvidenskabelige Fakultet, Københavns Universitet.

Primært forskningsområde

Anne Thorups hovedinteresse er børns psykologiske og mentale udvikling og viden om alvorlige psykiske sygdommes ætiologi. Hun har skrevet ph.d. om debuterende psykose hos unge voksne med fokus på betydningen af køn, socialt netværk og negative symptomer. I dag beskæftiger hun sig overvejende med børn født af forældre med alvorlig psykisk sygdom (skizofreni, bipolar sygdom eller svær, tilbagevendende depression), dvs. børn som har en familiært betinget forhøjet risiko for at blive psykisk syge. Fokus er både på barnets tidlige risikofaktorer (graviditeten og den tidlige udvikling), og på betydningen det aktuelle hjemmemiljø, forældrenes ressourcer, tilknytningsstilen, barnets neurokognition og familiens socioøkonomiske status og funktionsniveau. 


Aktuel forskning

Anne Thorup er daglig leder af ’The Danish High Risk and Resilience Study ’ VIA 7 og VIA 11, som er en kohorte bestående af 522 børn fra hele Danmark. Flertallet af børnene er født af forældre med skizofreni eller bipolar sygdom og blev alle meget grundigt undersøgt, da de var 7 år gamle, i den del af undersøgelsen, som kaldes VIA 7. I 2017 starter den første opfølgning, som finder sted når børnene er 11 år gamle, VIA 11. Samtidig arbejder Anne Thorup med et interventionsstudie målrettet børn med familiær risiko for alvorlig psykisk sygdom, Via Family Frederiksberg , og med registerstudier indenfor det samme område. Hun har også samarbejde med Københavns Universitet, Psykologisk Institut om forskning inden for tilknytning og den tidlige barndom hos ovennævnte målgruppe.
