The Competence Centre for Transcultural Psychiatry (colloquially called CTP) is part of the Mental Health Services in the Capital Region of Denmark. We are located at the Mental Health Centre Ballerup.
Psychiatry is a health professional specialty that includes prevention, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up and rehabilitation of patients with psychotic and non-psychotic disorders as well as mental disorders combined with substance abuse in adults. This speciality area also covers research, development, and education.
At CTP, we focus on diagnostics, treatment, education, and research. We cover
diagnosis and assessment of complicated transcultural psychiatric patients, including complicated mental illness in ethnic minorities, and
diagnosis and treatment of trauma-affected refugees.
