Past achievements

I founded the Danish suicide hotline, The Lifeline, in 1994 and has worked as its Chairman of the Board for 21 years. My primary focus areas were contact to and network with press, authorities, and politicians.

In 2009, I co-founded the Social Network, an organisation based on past Prime Minister, Paul Nyrup Rasmussen's values and visions. Headspace was set-up under the Social Network.

I have worked with social and health politics in the Danish Parliament and have participated in several Danish and international Boards, such as the Social Network, Association for Refugees and Immigrant Women, Children of Greenland, Bridge-builders, and Befrienders International.

In 2016, I founded Greenland Health – a new organisation working for prevention of suicide in Greenland.

I have received three awards for my work within suicide prevention: 'Lillebrorprisen' 1996, The Lions Award 2001, and Femina Women's Award in 2001.
