Forsknings​​om​​råder

Jeg har beskæftiget mig med selvmordsforebyggelse siden 1999 fra et forskningsmæssigt perspektiv. Hovedsagelig har jeg udført registerbaserede studier af befolkningsgrupper bl.a. i samarbejde med internationale forskere. Senest har vi indledt flere forebyggende interventioner, her undersøges hvordan vi kan hjælpe selvmordstruede og om støtten virker. Mine forskningsinteresser dækker desuden: effekt af selvmordsforebyggende interventioner, restriktiv adgang til metoder, grupper med høj risiko for selvmordshandlinger, efterladte efter selvmord og pårørende til selvmordstruede.​
