Professor Blakemore leads the Developmental Group at the UCL Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience focusing on the development of social cognition and decision-making in adolescence. Her research involves a variety of behavioural (psychophysics, eye-tracking, motion capture) and neuroimaging (MRI, fMRI and MEG) methods. Her lab is based at the UCL Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience in Queen Square, London, UK.
Sarah-Jayne Blakemore has contributed greatly to advance the understanding of social cognition and braindevelopment both in typically developing adolescents and those with mental disorders and she has been awarded numerous prizes. For more information see Blakemore Lab.
