The project is based on a national group of all transgender children and adolescents, who have been referred for assessment at the Sexological Clinic at Rigshospitalet and at the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Center at Bispebjerg Hospital in Copenhagen. The collected data will consist of clinical data from patient records or data collected during assessment or consultation visits at the Sexological Clinic.
The aim of the project is to improve family counselling, clinical treatment, patient satisfaction and quality of life for young people with gender dysphoria. The study can have an impact on clinical practice by shedding light on the differences seen in referred young people, and thereby optimizing assessment and treatment of the patient group.
