TECTO

Effects of psychotherapy for children and adolescents with OCD.

Primary Investigator: professor Anne Katrine Pagsberg.

TECTO Trial is a randomised controlled trial combined with a case-control study investigating the beneficial and adverse effects of two types of family-based psychotherapy for children and adolescents with OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder). The aims of the TECTO trial are to identify neurobiological, neurocognitive, neuroendocrine, and emotional changes in children and adolescents with OCD receiving psychotherapy.

We include 128 patients in the age range 8 to 17 and their parents, as well as 128 healthy controls and their parents. The patients will be randomly assigned to one of two types of psychotherapy. The two psychotherapies consist of 14 sessions over 16 weeks.
