About CARMEN

CARMEN (Centre for Applied Research in Mental Health Care) was founded in autumn 2021.  The overall purpose is to conduct and promote practice/clinic-related health professional research for the benefit of supporting evidence-based practice in the care of people with mental illness. The centre's activities include development, testing and implementation of interventions and recommendations targeted at health promotion and recovery-oriented practice – preferably in partnership with patients/citizens, relatives, volunteers, students and employees in hospital and social psychiatry.
