MUHABET - Improving father-child relations

Aim: The project, led by Muhabet, aims to strengthen and improve the relationship between traumatized refugee and immigrant fathers and their children through a multi-faceted approach. This includes outreach efforts, Saturday activities for fathers and children, and stabilizing the fathers' everyday lives to increase their capacity for involvement with their children.

Methods: The evaluation, conducted by the Competence Centre for Transcultural Psychiatry (CTP), combines qualitative and quantitative data, with an emphasis on qualitative methods. Data was collected throughout the three-year project period to assess its development and impact. However, this report focuses on data from mid-2017 to the end of 2018.

Primary investigators: Henriette L. Attardo, Msc Public Health, PhD student, Laura Glahder Lindberg, Msc Public Health, PhD and Jessica Carlsson, MD, PhD
