Research aim:- To determine if IRT group treatment is acceptable for two groups of PTSD patients.
- To examine changes in nightmare frequency, distress, themes, dream activity, and homework practice.
- To monitor IRT's effect on sleep quality, PTSD symptoms, functioning, and life quality before, during, and after treatment.
- To compare data between the two patient groups.
Design: Pilot study
Population: Participants include migrant PTSD patients treated at CTP and non-migrant PTSD patients treated at DP.
Methods: Groups of 4 to 8 patients are formed at each clinic (12 to 24 participants in total). Data collected includes session attendance, homework practice, sleep logs, and therapist-rated group parameters. Standardized measures assess changes in sleep, PTSD symptoms, functioning, and quality of life before, mid-treatment, and post-treatment. Qualitative comparisons will be made between the two patient groups based on the collected data.
