To draw an evidence-based picture of symptom complexity in traumatised refugees. 

5. Methods 

5.1 Number of participants: 

30 

5.2 Population: 

Adult trauma-affected refugees referred to treatment at CTP and included in the linked project (see Section 1 above). 

5.3 Description of data and data collection 

Parts of the SCAN interview were conducted to identify all psychiatric diagnoses in the target group. A medical doctor with psychiatric training carried out a SCAN interview after completing a short training programme in the interviewing technique. Approximately 30 interviews were completed over a period of 2 years. The interviews took place within 60 days of starting the treatment after 6 months on the waiting list. This project enables a thorough screening for comorbidity, including somatic conditions and a validation of existing diagnoses such as complex and chronic PTSD.

A paper is planned to be published when data analyses has been finalised.
